Dr. Jenny Neff

Jenny L. Neff, Ed.D. is a distinguished music educator and educational leader with over 30 years of experience spanning public schools and higher education. With 25 years of classroom teaching experience - primarily in band and orchestra - across Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Dr. Neff has influenced countless students and educators through her work in music instruction, curriculum development, and leadership. She currently serves as Supervisor of Humanities at Collegium Charter School in Exton, PA, where she oversees curriculum and instruction in music, art, social studies, and world language.

A seasoned conductor and clinician, Dr. Neff has led school ensembles and served as a guest conductor for honor bands across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. Her deep musical roots trace back to Michigan State University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education. While there, she studied horn with Douglas Campbell and Neill Saunders, performing under renowned conductors Eugene Corporon, Kenneth Bloomquist, and Leon Gregorian. She later earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University.

Dr. Neff is a sought-after presenter, having led professional development sessions nationwide. Highlights include presenting at the International Society for Music Education (ISME) Conference in Helsinki, Finland, and the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago.

A passionate advocate for curriculum and instruction, Dr. Neff served as one of ten writers for NAfME’s Teaching with Primary Sources project in collaboration with the Library of Congress. She also led curriculum design efforts for Amplifying Our Voices, a teacher resource initiative supported by the University of the Arts and the Library of Congress. Her curriculum expertise is regularly sought by school districts for writing, evaluation, and audits.

Dr. Neff is the Pennsylvania State Representative for Women Band Directors International (WBDI), where she also serves on the Grants and Scholarship Committee. She mentors emerging leaders through her advisory role with Key of She Jazz, an organization supporting girls and women in jazz. Her past leadership roles include serving two terms as Eastern Division Representative on NAfME’s Council for Band and key positions in advocacy and professional development within PMEA Districts 11 and 12. She currently serves as the Curriculum and Instruction Chair for PMEA District 12.

Her doctoral research on teacher evaluation was published in the Pennsylvania Educational Leadership Journal, and her writing has appeared in numerous professional publications. Dr. Neff is also a featured guest on several podcasts, where she shares insights on leadership, arts education, and curriculum innovation.
