Benjamin Redwine

New Orleans-based clarinetist Dr. Ben Redwine seamlessly bridges classical and jazz, nurturing a passion for both. An educator, he previously served as an Assistant Professor at The Catholic University of America and was a woodwind professor at Southern University. With 27 years in the U.S. military band system, Ben was renowned as the E-flat clarinet soloist at the US Naval Academy Band. He's graced seven International Clarinet Association ClarinetFests worldwide and, since relocating to Louisiana in 2016, collaborates with the Louisiana Philharmonic and Baton Rouge Symphony. Ben, a Selmer Paris performing artist, leads the Redwine Jazz Band and manufactures quality music products. In 2023, he was appointed Commissioner of Cultural Affairs for St. Tammany Parish.
