Bobby Streng

Bobby Streng, an Ann Arbor-based saxophonist, composer, and music director, boasts a multifaceted career spanning over 25 years. His sixth original album, "Safe and Loved," emerged in 2019. Bobby's lifelong passion for music began with discovering his father's Elkhart alto, which led to saxophone studies and eventually chart writing. Studies with Donald Sinta and winning the concerto competition at the University of Michigan refined his skills. He contributed to Grammy-winning recordings under Lenard Slatkin and toured worldwide with the Harry James Orchestra and Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. He leads ensembles like the Bobby Streng Group and Saxomble while being an in-demand sideman. Proudly endorsing Conn Selmer, Bobby exclusively plays Selmer saxophones.
