Bryan Appleby Wineberg

Dr. Bryan Appleby-Wineberg has been Professor of Trumpet and Head of Brass at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ since 2001.  He is also currently Chair of the Department of Music.  Bryan holds degrees from The Oberlin Conservatory of Music (BM in Performance and Music Education), The Cleveland Institute of Music (MM in Performance), and The Mason Gross School of Music at Rutgers University (DMA in Performance).  His teachers include James Darling, Peter Bond, Charles Couch, Jean Moorhead-Libs, and Anthony Plog.  He did additional work with Michael Sachs and David Zauder.  He is a founding member of the professional trumpet sextet Tromba Mundi and The Open Bell Podcast.  He is principal Trumpet of The Bay-Atlantic Symphony, Principal Cornet/Assistant Conductor of the 3-time national champion Atlantic Brass Band, and has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles including The Philadelphia Opera and Ballet, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, The Indianapolis Symphony, and Cleveland Orchestra.  Bryan lives in Glassboro, NJ with his wife Sarah, a Midwife and Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health, and they have two adult daughters.
