Grant Manhart

Dr. Grant Manhart has been teaching trumpet, jazz and online music appreciation at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, since 1998.  He toured professionally for a decade prior, performing on Broadway and with the Buddy Rich Band, among many others.  He also an author, publishing a Music Appreciation text titled “Music Appreciation:  A Socioeconomic Perspective-A Text for Disrupted Times”.  He is currently finishing a college success manual for students, titled “Mapping Your Success: How to Grow Up Successfully in a Disrupted World”.  Both are published by Kendall Hunt.  He created and sponsors the “Student Meet and Greet” at the past 5 ITG Conferences. He is in demand as a clinician, author, speaker, and performer.
