Greg Wing

Gregory Wing serves as Professor of Music, trumpet at Morehead State University, holds a MM from Indiana University and a BME degree from Morehead State University. He has performed with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, and Natalie Cole, Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, the Las Vegas Philharmonic, the Nevada Wind Ensemble, the Lexington Brass Band, the Louisville Orchestra, Louisville Ballet Orchestra, and the Lexington Philharmonic. In his Broadway show experience he has performed for 57 National Touring shows. Wing has served as Lead Trumpet with the Buddy Rich, Paul Anka, Tom Jones. Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas Hilton, Flamingo Hilton, and Stardust Hotel's orchestras. A board for the William Adam Trumpet Festival, Wing recieved the 2010 - 2011 MSU Distinguished Teacher of the Year award. In 2013, Wing was inducted into the MSU Alumni Hall of Fame and was selected as the recipient of the 2021-2022 Morehead State University Distinguished Service Award.
