Jerry Hey

6 time Grammy Award Winner, Jerry Hey was born in 1950 in Dixon, Illinois. He studied with Chicago Symphony trumpeter Charlie Geyer and later at Indiana with William Adam. Hey then moved to Hawaii to join the band Seawind. He soon moved to Los Angeles and began to work as a musician and arranger with Quincy Jones and later David Foster. He went on to perform, arrange and produce literally thousands of recordings. He can be heard with artists including Michael Jackson, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Barbara Streisand Donna Summer, Earth Wind and Fire, Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, George Duke, Lionel Ritchie, Rufus and Chaka Kahn, Natalie Cole, Christina Aguilera, Aretha Franklin, Patti Austin and many others. Some of his film credits include Back to the Future I,II and III, Forrest Gump, Dream Girls, Flash Dance, Sing, The Proposal. Hey remains active as a producer and arranger.
