Marc Reese

Internationally acclaimed trumpeter Marc Reese is best known for his near two-decade tenure in the Empire Brass Quintet. He is also highly regarded as an orchestral musician having performed with the NY Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, and Boston Symphony. Mr. Reese’s recording highlights include a solo recording entitled The Other Trumpet, numerous recordings with the Empire Brass and a recording with John Williams and the Boston Pops. As an educator, Mr. Reese serves as Assistant Dean and Brass Department Head for Lynn University’s Conservatory of Music and as a member of the Interlochen summer trumpet faculty. He has written articles for multiple brass publications and is currently the contributing editor of the ITG Journal’s Chamber Connection. Recent projects include a double-tonguing iBook entitled Repurposing Clarke and a trumpet competition in honor of his teacher and mentor, Roger Voisin, held biennially at Lynn University.
