Stephanie Furry Mason

Stephanie Furry Mason teaches horn at Georgia Southern University, is an active performer in the southeast United States. She is the Principal Hornist with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. As an extra/sub musician, she also performs with the Savannah Philharmonic, Charleston Symphony, Augusta Symphony, and Augusta Opera. Prior orchestral experience includes 7 years with the Pacific Symphony, Long Beach Opera, Downey Symphony, Hollywood Brass Ensemble, Capistrano Valley Symphony, Santa Barbara Symphony, Burbank Chamber Orchestra, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra among others. Stephanie earned a DMA from the University of Southern California where she studied with the legendary Vincent DeRosa, MM from Florida State University, and BM from the University of Alabama. As a Los Angeles studio musician she played on hundreds of recordings of various ensembles and in a variety of styles at Capitol Records, Sony Studios, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Tod A-O, and numerous other studios.
