Collaborating with musicians from diverse backgrounds, Henri SELMER Paris has created a new reed profile offering a distinct sound, characterized by exceptional density, roundness and warmth.
Sourced from organic wild cane from the famous Var region in the South of France and harvested by hand, ARUNDO DONAX reeds are renowned for their exceptional fiber content, ensuring longevity and optimum resistance to temperature and humidity.
Each reed is carefully crafted on traditional machines designed to maintain our high standards. Beveling machines with mechanical copiers offer perfect repeatability and greater reliability. New KEYENCE laser profile readers have been designed to carefully scan the bevel of each reed, guaranteeing exceptional precision. More than 80 essential points during quality control are rigorously assessed to ensure the high standards of today's most demanding musicians.
Ensuring the highest standards of sustainability, reed boxes are made from recyclable materials in accordance with the strict Forest Stewardship Council. Individual reeds utilize kraft paper packaging to ensure a constant level of humidity and freshness. The included reed-holder is also bio-based and compostable.
