Bernabé García Morente

Born in Churriana de la Vega, Granada, Bernabé García Morente began his professional career as principal trumpet of the Basque National Orchestra when he was 22 years old. He is currently principal trumpet of the @orquestagranada García earned his bachelor’s degree in Granada and completed his master’s degree in Madrid. He is frequently invited as principal trumpet of the Spanish National Orchestra and has collaborated with orchestras such as the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, Navarra Symphony Orchestra, Extremadura Orchestra and the New Orchestra of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. He has belonged to youth orchestras such as the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, the National Youth Orchestra of Spain and the Neue Philharmonie München. García has worked as a coach at the Youth Academy of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada and the Youth Orchestra of Andalusia. García has trained alongside such great trumpet players as Esteban Batallán, Michael Sachs, Reinhold Friedrich, Timur Martynov, Manuel Blanco, Allen Vizzuti, Roberto Bodí, Luis González, Rainer Auerbach and Chen Guang, among others. He has collaborated with performers and conductors such as Frank Peter Zimmermann, Pinchas Zukerman, Leonidas Kavakos, Tabea Zimmermann, Krystian Zimerman, James Conlon, Wayne Marshall, Pablo Heras-Casado, Lucas Macías, Juanjo Mena, David Afkham, Robert Treviño, Thomas Adès, Javier Perianes, Juraj Valčuha and Cristian Macelaru.
