Clark Fobes

Clark W Fobes, a clarinetist of distinction, received his Bachelor's from C.S.U., Fresno in 1976 and Masters from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 1983. His Bay Area career commenced in 1981, performing with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Symphony, Ballet Orchestra, and the California Symphony.

A versatile player, Fobes adroitly handles bass clarinet, basset horn, contra bass clarinet, and Eb soprano clarinet. He's an integral member of the Skywalker Ranch Orchestra for movie soundtracks. Composer Steven Mackey even featured him in his symphonic work ""Pedal Tones"".

With teachers like Mazzeo and Gray, Fobes is a clarinetist par excellence. Beyond performing, he's acclaimed for crafting precision mouthpieces, barrels, and extensions enjoyed by professionals worldwide.
