Portrait of Dan Moffett

Artist

Dan Moffett

Starting in sixth grade, my musical journey was ignited when I picked up the saxophone. With dedication, I secured a saxophone scholarship to the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, earning Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music Education. I've performed under renowned conductors, drawing from their wisdom in leading my own ensembles. While I'm passionate about teaching and mentoring young musicians, I'm equally driven by performance. I've shared the stage with Grammy winners, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, and chart-toppers like Gino Vannelli, Tower of Power-influenced band Soul Vaccination, and my own jazz ensemble, Swing Collective. I instruct at Komarek School and teach saxophone at Benedictine University. Sponsored by Conn Selmer, I endorse Selmer saxophones.
