Douglas Freitas

Trombonist Douglas Freitas studied at the ULM-Free Music University, where he graduated in Music Bachelor specializing in Popular Trombone at Fac-FITO. Participated in several Masterclass among them won a scholarship in the course of improvisation with Professor Gary Burton - Berklee College of Music. He was a member of the Symphony Orchestra of Diadema-SP (Bass Trombone), Villa Lobos (Bass Trombone) Orchestra, Zerró Santos Big Band Project, Big Band Atrium and SBT Orchestra. He performed in musicals in Brazil as "The Beauty and the Beast" (Bass Trombone And "Tuba", "Chicago", "Hair Spray", "Jekyll & Hyde", "In The Hights", "Nine", "GHOST" the Musical and currently integrates the Orchestra of the musical "Les Miserables "Brazil, "Promises...Promises", a Noviça Rebelde ", Peter Pan", "Grease Musical", "Kiss Me Kate". He worked as a teacher at Santa Marcelina College, BR Art School of Music. As a guest trombonist he has performed in bands such as Sensacional Orchestra Sonora, São Paulo Ska Jazz, Banda Paralela, Suprema Victrola Big Band, Blue Note Big Band-SP, recently was invited as a soloist for a concert with the Brazilian Army Symphonic Band.
