Jon Arnold
A native of Middletown, Ohio, Jon Arnold is a dynamic educator and performer. He is a freelance trumpet player, educator, and clinician. He has performed in nearly every genre with a specific passion for jazz and jazz education. He is currently the head director of bands at Edgewood High School. Over the course of his 27-year teaching career he has inspired countless numbers of students to pursue their passion for music. As a performer he has played with the Dayton Jazz Orchestra, Tom Daughery Orchestra, Jazz Central Big Band, Brass Monkeys horn section, Eric Jerardi Band, the Klaberheards, Miami University Campus Owls many, many others. As a clinician he has been a guest at the Beavercreek Jazz Festival, presented clinics at Miami University and directed the District 14 honor jazz ensemble in Cincinnati to name a few. He is a cancer survivor on the comeback trail after a tough battle with Leukemia. He loves his New York Bach trumpet.
