Karen Bronson
Dr. Karen Andreas Bronson is adjunct clarinet professor at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and maintains a large clarinet studio in Southlake, Texas located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. As a freelance clarinetist in the north Texas region, she performs with a variety of ensembles and frequents as a guest clinician and adjudicator. She is the host of the podcast “The Clarinet Pedagogue.” In 2019, she founded The Avenue C Project, a collaborative platform for wind musicians and composers, and has commissioned pieces for reed trio and for bass clarinet. Dr. Bronson has presented at National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors Conference, Texas A&M Clarinet Colloquium, ClarinetFest, and the Texas Music Educators Association Convention and Midlands New Music Symposium. She is serving on the Artistic Leadership Team for International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest 2025. Clarinet performance degrees earned are a Doctor of Musical Arts from University of North Texas with a related field degree in Wind Band Conducting, a Master of Music from University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Music degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She plays on Selmer Muse clarinets and Behn mouthpieces.
