Kyle Mechmet

Kyle Mechmet, an accomplished concert saxophonist, captivates audiences worldwide with his "clear, thrilling sound" (Florida Weekly). Hailing from Florida, he strives to elevate the saxophone's status as a serious classical instrument. A prize-winning soloist, Kyle performed at the 22nd Hamamatsu International Wind Instruments Academy & Festival in Japan and clinched Florida Atlantic University's 2012 Concerto Competition. He frequently takes the stage as a guest soloist with esteemed bands and serves as associate conductor of the Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches. With an extensive performance history, he has worked alongside renowned conductors and transcribed and arranged notable works. Beyond performing, Kyle is a dedicated saxophone educator across South Florida and co-founded the South Florida Saxophone Festival. He holds degrees from Florida Atlantic University and the University of Iowa, mentored by esteemed saxophonists like Dr. Kenneth Tse.
