Lisa Osland

Lisa Osland is a distinguished Professor of Saxophone and Director of Saxophone Ensembles at the University of Kentucky. Her leadership has led the UK Saxophone Quartet to clinch two Downbeat Awards in Classical Chamber Music. They've graced the stages of the International Saxophone Symposium and North American Saxophone Alliance National Conferences. A prolific performer, Lisa has shared spotlights with luminaries like Wynton Marsalis, Ray Charles, and Linda Ronstadt.

She's a regular guest of the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra, wielding saxophone, bass clarinet, and clarinet. Osland Saxophone Quartet (OSQ), a Selmer Performing ensemble, shines in both concerts and recordings. Their acclaimed debut, "Kentucky Roastup," earned praise from the Saxophone Journal, while "Commission Impossible," a 2-CD marvel, showcases a decade of OSQ's commissioned repertoire. A seasoned educator, Lisa is a sought-after clinician who's graced global saxophone congresses and penned contributions for the Saxophone Journal.
