Nicki Roman

Nicki Roman, an acclaimed saxophonist, garners accolades for her virtuosity and saxophone repertoire breadth. Prize-winner in contests like North American Saxophone Alliance Solo Competition, she's the first saxophonist to earn the International Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship. Soloing with ensembles worldwide, she showcased her debut album "Unquiet Waters" in 2021. Nicki's performances span continents, gracing esteemed venues including China's National Centre for the Performing Arts. She's a member of Splinter Reeds and co-founded Fuego Quartet, known for their boundary-crossing sound. Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she influences aspiring saxophonists. A Conn Selmer and Vandoren artist, she contributes to NASA's Gender Equity and Competition Committees.
