Steven Slagle

Steve Slagle, a versatile musician, resides in New York City as a saxophonist, flutist, and composer. With 20 leader albums and numerous collaborations, his compositions published globally by Slagle Music, BMI. Serving as the Mingus Big Band's musical director, he contributed Grammy-winning arrangements. His affiliations extend to Joe Lovano’s Nonet, earning him another Grammy. Berklee and MSM educated, he shared stages with luminaries like Stevie Wonder, Charlie Haden, and Milton Nascimento. Leading the Stryker / Slagle Band, his "Routes" was Grammy-nominated. An author ("Scenes, Songs and Solo’s"), educator, and endorser of Yanagisawa saxophones and Vandoren reeds, Slagle's legacy spans genres and generations.
