Thierry Champs

Thierry Champs leads a double career, both as a professional trumpet player and pedagogue. In recent years he joined, among others, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the McGill Chamber Orchestra and the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec. He also performed with film composer Hans Zimmer, video games music composer Nobuo Uematsu. Gregory Charles, Marc Hervieux, and the Cirque du Soleil. He has studied with Maurice André, Malcolm McNabb, Sergei Nakariakov, Wayne Bergeron and Joe Burgstaller. He has been being solicited by many academic institutions for providing master classes and pronouncing conferences. He has been a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal, since 2011. Thierry Champs holds a doctorate in interpretation from the Université de Montréal. He’s also co-founded in 2021 with kinesiologist Anne Ouellet-Demers, the company Axeom, which offers personalized prevention, education and artistic optimization services.
