Scott Sheehan
A nationally recognized advocate and leader for the advancement of music education, Scott Sheehan is the Director of Bands and Music Department Chair at the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School in Hollidaysburg, PA where he directs the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band and teaches AP Music Theory, Fundamentals of Guitar, and an elective course Rock, Rap, and Revolution! In addition to duties at Hollidaysburg, Scott is the Immediate-Past President for the National Association for Music Education and is also active with the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association. Additionally, he is an Educational Clinician for Conn-Selmer and Hal Leonard, and is a member of the National Coalition for Arts Standards Council. Scott was a finalist for the 2019 GRAMMY Music Educator Award, the recipient of the 2022 PMEA James Stewart Distinguished Service Award, and was named the 2022 Outstanding Bandmaster by Phi Beta Mu International Bandmaster Fraternity Nu Chapter. He also holds membership with the National Band Association and the American School Band Directors Association, and serves on the Advocacy Committee for Music for All. Scott and his wife Amy are the proud parents of their daughter Ellie who is a recent marketing graduate and the drum major of the Blue Band at Penn State University.
