Matthew H. Spieker has been a music educator for over thirty years. He has taught all levels of orchestra and general music in U.S. school districts internationally at the John F. Kennedy Schule in Berlin, Germany. He is currently an Assistant Music Education Professor at Ball State University as a string specialist and conducts a local youth orchestra.

Dr. Spieker conducts, honor ensembles, and gives workshops for young musicians throughout the United States and around the world, from Arizona to New York and Wisconsin to Florida, as well as cities abroad including Brussels, Vienna, Geneva and Beijing. And since 2000, Dr. Spieker has been a co-conductor of the “Internationales Orchester Camp” in Lüchow, Germany.

As a clinician for music educators, Dr. Spieker presents at state music education conferences and nationally at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, the American String Teacher’s Association (ASTA) National Conferences, and the Society for Music Teacher Education (SMTE).
