Neil Anderson
Conn Selmer Educational Clinician
Originally from Scotland, Dr. Neil Anderson has spent his entire career as a champion for arts education. He holds two bachelor's degrees (Music Education and Woodwind Performance) from San Diego State University, a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific and received his doctorate in educational leadership from Concordia University, Irvine. He has taught students at all levels in education.
Currently, in his 20th year in education, Dr. Anderson has served in the classroom, and as both a district and site level administrator. As an instrumental music director, Dr. Anderson’s ensembles performed throughout the United States and Europe, including at the invitation of both the United States and British governments. He serves as a clinician and adjudicator for marching competitions and concert festivals for regional and state band organizations throughout the United States. He is the current Principal at Golden Hill School for Creative and Performing Arts in Fullerton, California.
He has presented at educational conferences throughout the United States.
He has served on the Board of Directors for the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association, California Band Directors Association and has professional affiliations with Music For All, California Music Education Association, National Association for Music Education, ASCD and ACSA. He is a lifetime member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
