Michael Tiscione

Michael Tiscione, is the Associate Principal Trumpet with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, beginning in October 2017. He began his career with the ASO in 2002 as Utility Trumpet,becoming Second Trumpet position in 2010. For the 2010-11 season, he joined the San Francisco Symphony as Second Trumpet. He has performed with the Chicago Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, the Cincinnati, Toronto, Utah, Indianapolis Symphony, Orchestras and IRIS Chamber Orchestra. He serves as second trumpet with the both the Sun Valley Summer Symphony and the Bellingham Music Festival, and as Principal Trumpet at the Mozaic Festival. Tiscione has been a member of the ASO Brass Quintet since 2005. He performs with the Burning River Brass,and has toured China with the Chicago Symphony Brass Quintet. He is on at Kennesaw State University and holds degrees from Indiana University (BM) and Northwestern University (MM). His teachers include John Rommel, Charles Geyer, and Barbara Butler.
