In the tradition of Henri SELMER Paris’ acoustic research and innovation, the FIBRA ligature was designed to deliver freer reed vibration, a more homogeneous sound, and renewed playing comfort.

Its concept pays tribute to the long-used German-style wire ligatures - renowned for minimal reed contact and pure vibration. The FIBRA ligature is a bold, contemporary solution for today's saxophonists and clarinetists

whom desire the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. The FIBRA is a ligature that adapts perfectly to any mouthpiece and reed, enhancing response and revealing the musician’s full expressive range.

STRENGTH and FLEXIBILITY

The selected nautical braided cord provides consistent, durable holding force without long-term deformation. Its compliant structure naturally accommodates differences in mouthpiece diameter and reed bark thickness, ensuring an even clamp across the reed’s surface.

PRECISION and ELEGANCE

The exclusive Zamak Slider (zing-aluminum-magnesium-copper allow) is hand polished for a flawless sheen. The black, iconic Selmer Paris "S" is laser engraved on top of a satin finish that's protected with epoxy lacquer baked at 200* Celsius. The slider combines mechanical robustness, precise adjustment, and long-term durability. Once optimal tension is set, no further adjustment is needed: thanks to the cord’s inherent compliance, you simply remove and reposition the ligature without touching the slider.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Born from a close collaboration between Henri SELMER Paris and the Vientos Bambú workshops in Buenos Aires (Argentina), the FIBRA ligature benefits from exceptional craftsmanship.

Each ligature is braided, fitted, and individually inspected to guarantee even tension, a refined finish, and outstanding consistency from one unit to the next. Available for Alto, Tenor, Soprano, and Baritone Saxophone, and Eb, Bb/A, and Bass Clarinet.
