The new global standard in woodwind reeds, Henri SELMER Paris is excited to announce the launch of their PREMIUM series Jazz reeds. While exceptionally easy to play, their quick response, outstanding projection and expressive tone allows the artist to perform superbly in both solo and section playing. While initially launching in Alto and Tenor, the Jazz range will eventually extend to additional voices.

Sourced from organic wild cane from the famous Var region in the South of France and harvested by hand, ARUNDO DONAX reeds are renowned for their exceptional fiber content, ensuring longevity and optimum resistance to temperature and humidity.

Each reed is carefully crafted on traditional machines designed to maintain our high standards. Beveling machines with mechanical copiers offer perfect repeatability and greater reliability. New KEYENCE laser profile readers have been designed to carefully scan the bevel of each reed, guaranteeing exceptional precision. More than 80 essential points are rigorously assessed during quality control to ensure the high standards of today’s most demanding musicians.

New Henri SELMER Paris reeds are calibrated according to industry-standard strength references to ensure immediate familiarity for saxophonists—especially those switching from other major brands. A strength equivalence chart is available to help you confidently guide your customers to the right reed— based on their usual brand and model—minimizing uncertainty and ensuring a smoother transition.

Ensuring the highest standards of sustainability, reed boxes are made from recyclable materials in accordance with the strict Forest Stewardship Council.Individual reeds utilize kraft paper packaging to ensure a constant level of humidity and freshness. The included reed-holder is also bio-based and compostable.Our reeds are manufactured in southeastern France, near the very reed beds where the cane is grown. All components, from the cane to the reed holder and packaging, are sourced locally. This commitment to local sourcing and short supply chains supports local craftsmanship and reduces our ecological footprint, all while enhancing product quality.
