Amarildo Nascimento

"Amarildo Nascimento is a Brazilian trumpet soloist and chamber musician, currently serving as Principal Trumpet of the University of São Paulo Symphony Orchestra (OSUSP). He is also a founding member of the São Paulo Brass Trio, a prominent ensemble dedicated to the performance and promotion of brass chamber music in Brazil.

As a soloist, he has performed with major orchestras such as the University of São Paulo Symphony Orchestra (OSUSP), Montevideo Philharmonic (Uruguay), São Paulo Academic Orchestra, University of São Paulo Chamber Orchestra (OCAM), and the Santo André Symphony Orchestra, among others.

He is regularly invited to perform and teach at leading music festivals, conferences, and academic institutions both in Brazil and abroad. Highlights of his international career include a solo recital and lecture at the University of Florida (2019) and a featured performance at the 42nd Annual Conference of the International Trumpet Guild (ITG) in the United States (2017).

Amarildo holds a Master’s Degree in Music from the University of São Paulo and postgraduate degrees in Brass Pedagogy and Performance, as well as in Music Education. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Trumpet Performance in Brazil. From 2010 to 2019, he was a trumpet and chamber music professor at Faculdade Cantareira (São Paulo), actively contributing to the education of a new generation of brass players. "
