Arthur Gass

Arthur Gass is a French orchestral trumpet player and Principal Trumpet of the Orchestre National de Metz Grand Est. Born in Strasbourg, he began his musical journey at a music school in Alsace before continuing his studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Strasbourg, where he studied with Frédéric Schiel. He then joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, studying in the class of Clément Saunier.

Throughout his professional career, Arthur Gass has performed with several leading French orchestras and opera companies, including the Orchestre national de Lyon, the Opéra National de Lyon, the Opéra Orchestre national de Montpellier Occitanie, the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Orchestre philharmonique de Marseille, the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, and the Orchestre National de France.

As an orchestral trumpet player, he places particular importance on sound quality, precision, projection, and developing a distinctive sound suited to different repertoires. His position as Principal Trumpet of the Orchestre National de Metz Grand Est reflects his commitment to musical excellence, with a constant focus on musicality and richness of sound.
