Christine Ennis Carrillo
Dr. Christine Carrillo is the Director of Instrumental Music and Chair of the Music Department at Bridgewater College. She previously served on the faculties of James Madison University, Texas A&M University-Kingsville (where she was a two-time recipient of the Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award), and The Victoria College.She has performed with a wide variety of ensembles including the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival, Madison Brass Quintet, Massanutten Brass Band, Victoria Symphony, Corpus Christi Symphony, Keith Brion and his New Sousa Band, Audio Inversions Contemporary Music Ensemble, and the Oratorio Society of Virginia. Carrillo holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music from The University of Texas at Austin, and dual Bachelor of Music degrees in Music Education and Trumpet Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She studied with Ray Sasaki, Ronald Romm and Dr. Michael Ewald.
