Daniel Ketter
Daniel Ketter is a clarinetist based in Rochester, New York. He is currently Principal Clarinet of the Albany Symphony, a position he has held since 2025. In his early musical pursuits, he won First Chair Clarinet in both the NJ Region 1 and All-State Wind Ensembles during high school. In 2024, he received the NYO Canada Award of Excellence as well as having toured nationally as a member of the orchestra on both the Aurora (2023) and Horizons (2024) tours. In 2026, Daniel was named a Clarinet Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center and was also selected for the NACO Mentorship Program with the National Arts Centre Orchestra. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia under José Franch-Ballester in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree at the Eastman School of Music studying with Michael Wayne. Other mentors that Daniel has worked with include Pavel Vinnitsky and Steve Williamson.
