Elizabeth Rodeck
Dr. Elizabeth Rodeck is an energetic performer and teacher in the mid-Michigan area. She is Instructor of Clarinet at Albion College, Lansing Community College, and the Michigan State University Community Music School. She also maintains a large private teaching studio in both Lansing and Detroit. Elizabeth’s pedagogy centers on students’ discovery of the strategies they need to become their own teachers. She also prioritizes building thoughtful practice strategies, music theoretical skills, and mental resilience. Elizabeth earned her MM and DMA degrees in Clarinet Performance from Michigan State University where she studied with Guy Yehuda. She earned her BM in Clarinet Performance from The Ohio State University as a student of Caroline Hartig. Other notable instructors include James Campbell and Kip Franklin. Elizabeth is a Selmer-Paris Artist and plays their Signature B-flat and A clarinets.
