Erika Shrauger
Erika Shrauger is Associate Principal/Eb Clarinetist with The Florida Orchestra and Second Clarinetist with The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. She is an active orchestral, chamber musician and teacher, performing with professional orchestras throughout Florida and beyond. Prior to joining the Florida Orchestra she was a fellow at the New World Symphony and the Tanglewood Institute. She has also performed with The Lyric Opera of Chicago and was a member of The Colorado Symphony.Erika has appeared as a soloist with The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Buffalo Philharmonic, The Colorado Symphony as well as The Florida Orchestra.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree from The Curtis Institute of Music where she was a student of Donald Montanaro. She also studied with distinguished artists Burt Hara, Frank Kowalski, Robert Marcellus, James Pyne and Harold Wright.
In addition to a busy orchestral career she is committed to projects employing music as a vehicle for political and social justice.
