Gareth Small

Gareth Small is Principal Trumpet with the Hallé Orchestra in Manchester, joining the Hallé in 1993 whilst a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has performed as guest principal trumpet with most of the UK's Orchestras including LSO, LPO, RPO, CBSO, RLPO, ENO, BBCSO,BBCNOW, BBC Phil, London Sinfonietta and the Philharmonia. Gareth is also a member of London Brass and Hallé Brass. Gareth has played on numerous movie soundtracks including Return of the King (Lord of the Rings), Charlie & the Chocolate factory, Beauty & the Beast, Cinderella, Into the Woods, Mocking Jay (Hunger Games), Captain America(Civil War), Bridget Jones' Baby and Ant-Man & the Wasp. He has performed with artists such as Pavarotti, Domingo & Carreras, Bryn Terfel, Andrea Bocelli, ELO, Procol Harum, Karl Jenkins, to name a few. Gareth is a Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music in London where he teaches Trumpet. He also teaches at Chethams and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
