Gordon Towell

Gordon Towell, an accomplished saxophonist, jazz educator, and recipient of the 2001 Morehead State University’s Distinguished Creative Productions Award, boasts an impressive career. Holding degrees from prestigious institutions like the University of Alberta, Indiana University, and the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, he has imparted his knowledge to students at esteemed universities and public schools. As Coordinator of jazz studies at Loyola University, New Orleans, Towell adeptly directs ensembles, teaches jazz history, arranging, and improvisation.
