Jose Leonardo Leon

Dr. Jose Leonardo Leon is a leading Classical and Commercial trombonist. As well as a pedagogue as the trombone professor at Florida Atlantic University. He is a polymath musician who regularly engages with leading professors in institutions of higher learning. Most recently, he was a keynote presenter at the University of Florida’s Center for Arts, Migration, and Entrepreneurship in 2020 and was a headlining Artist-Clinician for the 2021 International Trombone Festival. Dr. Leon is a Global Music Awards Winner for Best Instrumental Album and Compositions and bass trombonist for the 2015 Latin GRAMMY Award Winning album-Mamblue. Dr. Leon has worked with orchestral organizations across the United States, Europe, and Latin America. He has also performed with acclaimed artists such as The Who, Andrea Bocelli, The Manhattan Transfer, Idina Menzel, Arturo Sandoval, Wycliffe Gordon, Paquito D’ Rivera, Tony Succar, David Foster, just to name a few.
