Joshua Kearney

Dr. Joshua Kearney, Assistant Professor and Director of Bands at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, leads with expertise in music education and conducting. Overseeing UNO's band program, he conducts the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and directs the Nebraska Wind Symphony. As Music Director of the Nebraska Wind Symphony, he champions new music and collaborates with composers. His active guest conducting schedule, research presentations, and educational editions demonstrate his commitment to the field. Kearney's background includes degrees from Michigan State University and Columbus State University. He is engaged with national and regional music associations, contributing to the thriving landscape of wind music education.
