Keith Oshiro
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Keith Oshiro has made Central Florida his home since 1990. He received his Master of Music Degree from the University of South Florida, and his Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of North Texas, where he was a member of the internationally renowned One O'clock Lab Band, and principal trombonist in the Symphony Orchestra. Aside from performing full-time at Walt Disney World since 1992, Keith is a diverse, and active freelance artist, which includes playing lead trombone with Chuck Owen & The Jazz Surge, and The Sam Rivers RivBea Orchestra. He has performed with the Walt Disney World Candlelight Orchestra, was a founding member of The Florida Wind Band, and performs regularly with superstar Latin Artist Tito Nieves. Keith has been a member of The Maynard Ferguson Big Bop Nouveau Band, The Woody Herman Orchestra, and The Harry Connick, Jr. Big Band, among others; and has performed at numerous jazz festivals throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, and Europe. He is included in the book: “The New Face Of Jazz”- An Intimate Look at Today’s Living Legends and the Artists of Tomorrow, by Cicily Janus. Keith plays King Trombones and Warburton Mouthpieces exclusively.
