Throughout her middle/high school career, Lexi has not only performed & competed nationally& internationally, but she was also allotted the opportunity to participate in masterclasses with the likes of Branford Marsalis, Chick Corea, Evelyn Glennie, Todd Stoll, Steven Turre, etc. She learned the true history of Jazz in the Summer Jazz Academy curated by Wynton Marsalis & the Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Lexi graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music as a Presidential Scholar and Sarah Vaughn scholarship recipient with a B.A. in Songwriting. During her studies at Berklee, she was taught by Tia Fuller, the world-renowned jazz saxophonist & composer, who taught her to step outside her comfort zone & stand in her power. One of the greatest experiences she’s had was stepping into the world of Flamenco during Berklee’s study abroad program in Valencia, Spain.

She has also taught Black American Music to 4th-6th graders with Activities Beyond the Classroom in conjunction with Cincinnati Public Schools since 2021. Lexi is now touring with Janelle Monae as part of the “Age of Pleasure” U.S. tour run. As she continues to study and grow, she hopes to inspire people to explore beyond the mundane traditions of music through her sound.
