Dr. Matthew Patnode, a versatile concert and jazz saxophonist, boasts degrees from SUNY Potsdam, Conservatoire de Bordeaux, and Arizona State University. Guided by mentors like James Stoltie and Jean-Marie Londeix, he's graced prestigious stages, including the Phoenix Symphony and Fargo-Moorhead Symphony. Matthew has charmed audiences at saxophone conferences across the U.S., Canada, and Scotland, gaining recognition on Minnesota Public Radio. A dedicated educator, he's enlightened aspiring musicians at state music educator conferences and the University of Macedonia. Honored as the 2013 North Dakota Jazz Educator of the Year, he's a long-standing faculty member at the International Music Camp. Matthew collaborates with renowned artists and ensembles while representing Conn Selmer and exclusively performing on Selmer Paris saxophones.
