Maxfield Gast

Maxfield Gast, hailing from Philadelphia, shines as a saxophonist and composer. Armed with a Temple University music degree, he has forged a path as an independent artist and producer, touring globally. As a bandleader, Gast's diverse albums under Militia Hill showcase his genre-spanning creativity, resonating on college radio and NPR. His talent resonates in collaborations, having recorded on over 50 albums, scored films, and played with Grammy winners like Cage the Elephant and Bakithi Kumalo. Gast graced prestigious stages like Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Kimmel Center. A University of the Arts accompanist and clinician, he continues his musical journey.
