Michael Ibrahim, a saxophonist and dynamic performer, is a dedicated arts leader driven by nurturing creativity and promoting inclusive musical excellence. As the Director of the School of Music at The Ohio State University since 2022, he previously led the School of Music at West Virginia University. His impactful tenure at Ohio State has brought groundbreaking changes, including the Global Black Music Studies initiative and the Opus 88 program, connecting with Ohio's 88 counties. A prominent saxophonist in NYC's experimental scene, Ibrahim collaborates with esteemed ensembles and performs globally.
