Mike Myers
Michael Myers joined the Seattle Symphony in 2017 as fourth/utility trumpet after holding the same position with the Atlanta Symphony for four seasons. Previously, he was a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has also been a member of the Grant Park Orchestra since 2009. In the 2006-07 season, Myers performed with the Oregon Symphony. He has also performed with the Chicago Symphony, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Utah, Milwaukee, Colorado and Richmond Symphonies.He graduated with a BM from James Madison University, where he studied with James Kluesner, and with a MM infrom Rice University's Shepherd School of Music with Armando Ghitalla. Additional studies with Vincent Cichowicz, John Hagstrom, Charles Geyer, Barbara Butler, Channing Philbrick and James Pandolfi. He was the Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at Samford University from 2013-2014, the Associate Professor of Trumpet at Lake Forest College from 2008-2010 and has been a guest lecturer at DePaul University.
