Riley Breckenridge

Riley Breckenridge is the founding drummer of the California-based rock band Thrice, playing and writing with the group since 1998. Known for his powerful yet nuanced approach behind the kit, Riley has helped shape Thrice’s evolving sound across decades of influential releases and worldwide touring.Beyond Thrice, he has explored a wide range of musical territory through side projects. He released an LP with Less Art, a sludgy post-hardcore collaboration featuring members of Thrice, Kowloon Walled City, and Curl Up and Die. He also formed the baseball-themed grindcore project Puig Destroyer, releasing multiple EPs and LPs, and has issued solo ambient and electronica material under his own name.Riley’s playing blends aggression, texture, and precision, reflecting both his punk and hardcore roots and his broader experimental interests.
