Rubén Toribio Monteagudo (Ávila, 1990, Spain)
At 11 years old, he chose the trombone as a way of life. He studied with Edmundo Vidal (Spanish National Orchestra), and Enrique Cotolí at the Madrid Royal Conservatory. He was awarded a scholarship by JONDE-BBVA Foundation, to study at Barenboim-Said Akademie of Berlin, with Stefan Schulz (Berliner Philharmoniker) and Filipe Alves (Staatskapelle Berlin). He was member of young orchestras like JOBASCYL, JORCAM or JONDE, and collaborated with Spanish National Orchestra, Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, Orchestra of Cadaqués, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, Galician Symphony Orchestra, Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, and Gürzenich-Orchester Köln. Actually he is principal trombone of Orquesta de Valencia, Spain.
Rubén plays with a Bach Stradivarius 42A as Bach Brass Artist.
