Ruby Laks

Ruby began playing drums at age 9 and pursued serious musical study after moving to Los Angeles, attending LACHSA where she developed foundations in jazz drums and classical voice. She later studied at Oberlin Conservatory, refining her craft under the guidance of Billy Hart and La Tanya Hall.Her performance experience ranges from intimate jazz clubs to renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Neuehouse Hollywood, and the Monterey Jazz Festival with the Women in Jazz Band. Now based in New York City, Ruby continues to grow as a drummer and vocalist with a strong commitment to artistry and musicianship.
