Sal Lozano

A Southern California native, Sal is a founding member of Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat band, occupying the 2nd Alto Sax chair but keeps trying to challenge up and plays in The Tom Kubis Big Band. A few of the artists Sal has also recorded with include, Paul McCartney, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder, Adele and Lady Gaga. Sal has been a member of the Academy Awards Orchestra, the Grammy Orchestra, the Emmy Awards Orchestra, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and America’s Got Talent. Phineas and Ferb, Animaniacs, Pinky and The Brain and national commercials. Motion picture credits include West Side Story, Crazy Rich Asians, Incredibles 2, The last 3 Star Trek movies, The Muppets, Straight Outta Compton and LALA Land. Sal is professor of saxophone at CSU Long Beach and a proud endorser of Vandoren reeds and Selmer saxophones and conducts clinics across the country as well as the Disney Imagination Campus and the All American College Band.
