Salin

Salin is a Thai-born drummer, Juno-nominated producer, and composer redefining the global jazz landscape. Selected as one of six artists for CBC’s Revelation Canada (2025), she has been featured on the cover of TIDAL’s Best New Jazz and Spotify’s Fresh Finds Jazz.Her album Rammana introduces what she calls “Afro Thai Funk,” a bold fusion of afro-jazz, funk, and indigenous Thai instruments. The project explores identity, spirituality, and cultural connection while celebrating music as a universal language. The album earned international acclaim with features on CBC’s Q with Tom Power, NPR’s New Music Friday, BBC Radio London, and Bandcamp’s Album of the Day, and was nominated for a 2026 Juno Award for Best Global Music Album of the Year.Since 2024, Salin has toured extensively across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, performing at renowned venues and festivals including CHANEL Summer Tour, Winter Jazz Festival NYC, KEXP, Ronnie Scott’s in London, the Cotton Club in Tokyo, and the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
