Scot Humes
Scot Humes is Professor of Clarinet and Saxophone at the University of Louisiana Monroe, Principal Clarinet of the Monroe Symphony and Vashon Opera Orchestras, and frequently performs in the Shreveport and Texarkana (TX) Symphonies. In demand as a performer and clinician, he has given recitals and masterclasses throughout the USA, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. A member of "duo per se", with Steinway Recording Artist Tania Tachkova, their commitment to new music has resulted in collaborations, commissions, and receiving new works for clarinet and piano written by modern composers. Their first, self-titled CD was released on the Centaur Records label (CRC 3999) in 2022. Humes is a Silverstein Works Pro Team Artist, a SoundScore Artist, a Potenza Music artist, and a Selmer Paris Artist performing on Selmer Seles Presence clarinets.
