Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones is the Director of Jazz Studies at Texas Tech University since 2009, after teaching at institutions like Northeastern State University, TCU, and the University of North Texas. He's presented at conferences like Jazz Education Network and North American Saxophone Alliance. Jones earned his Bachelor's from SUNY Potsdam, a Master's in Jazz Studies from UNT, and further study at University of Illinois. As a saxophonist, he's recorded with renowned ensembles and musicians, performed worldwide, and composed for big bands. His affiliations include work with artists like Dave Brubeck, Maynard Ferguson, and Bob Dorough. Jones is also an Artist/Clinician for Conn Selmer.
